Dear Families,
The school year promises to be another great year at MUS.
I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, in 1990, with a B.A. in Sociology. I received my California Teaching Credential from UCSB the following year. I began my teaching career as a substitute teacher at MUS where I was an instructional assistant and a long-term sub in third grade. I began a rewarding and inspirational job-share position with Laurie McMahon in 1993 that spanned 2 school years before I was hired full-time in 1995 to teach 5th grade at MUS.
One of my favorite quotes is by Helen Keller who said, “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart.” Teaching children is one of my passions. When I am not at school my other passions include my family, movies, reading, embroidery, and biking.
